Eligible employees (those working 20+ regularly scheduled hours per week) begin accruing PTO on their date of employment, however PTO cannot be used until an employee successfully completes the initial introductory period. PTO for all eligible employees may be accrued to a maximum of 30 days (equivalent to 240 hours for full-time employees).

Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (Must work 20+ hours.)

Amount of life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment is one times your salary to the next highest thousand. Ex. Salary $21,345, life insurance would be $22,000. Maximum benefit is $150,000. Benefit starts on the first of the month following date of hire. Agency pays for this benefit.

Short Term Disability (Must work 20+ hours.)

Benefit pays 60%* of basic weekly earnings to a maximum of $1,000 per week for an employee who becomes totally disabled due to an accident or illness. Benefits begin on the 1st day if the disability is due to an accident and on the 15th day if due to an illness. Coverage starts on the first of the month following date of hire. Agency pays for this benefit.

  • Benefit pays 50% of basic weekly earnings to a maximum of $1,000 per week if employee has less than two years of service.

Supplemental Short Term Disability (Must work 20+ hours.)

Employee can elect monthly disability benefit amounts ($400/$600/$800). Cost varies based on age. Benefit starts on the first of the month following date of hire. Employee pays benefit.

Long Term Disability (Must work 20+ hours.)

Benefit amount will be equal to 60% of monthly earnings immediately prior to the disability. Maximum monthly benefit is $7,500. Benefit starts on the first of the month following date of hire. Employee pays benefit; premium based on salary.

Supplemental Life Insurance (Must work 20+ hours)

Additional life insurance may be purchased in increments of $10,000 for you, in increments of $5,000 for spouses, to a maximum of $500,000. Benefit starts on the first of the month following date of hire. Employee pays benefit

Features:

  • Guarantee Issue: $250,000 for employee coverage; $30,000 for spouse for new hire or eligibility status change.
  • Dependent life is also available. Up to $1,000 for child(ren) under 14 days old, 14 days or older purchased in increments of $2,000.
  • Benefit also includes: Accelerated Death Benefit, Waiver of Premium, Convertible and Portable when leave employment.

Retirement – Tax Sheltered Annuity 403(b) – The Standard

An employee is eligible to enroll in the Tax Sheltered Annuity Plan on his/her date of employment. Existing employees may join the plan on enrollment dates – January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st.

Employees can contribute up to a maximum of $18,050 for 2018 as well as a catch up provision of $6,000 per year if age 50 or older once $18,050 is reached. There is a six year vesting schedule in the employer match. After one year of service and 1,000 hours worked, the employer will match the employee deferral at the rate of 50% (effective January 1, 2013) on the first 6% of compensation deferred.

Holidays (must work 20+ hours.)

9 paid holidays a year. No waiting period.

Flexible Spending Account Benefit (Must work 20+ hours.)

The Flexible Spending Account consists of healthcare reimbursement and dependent care reimbursement. Maximum contribution for healthcare reimbursement is $2,650 for calendar year 2018 and for dependent care reimbursement is $5,000 for calendar year 2018. Money is deducted from paycheck on a pre-tax basis and placed into an account from which an employee can be reimbursed for any eligible healthcare expense or dependent care expense. Benny Debit Card option available for healthcare reimbursement account use. Benefit starts on the first day of the first pay period following one (1) month of employment. Employee paid benefit.

Domestic Partner Benefit

Our health and dental plans include coverage of domestic partners and their eligible dependents. Domestic Partner Coverage is defined as an individual of the same or opposite sex who is at least 18 years of age and has a Domestic Partnership with an employee of Tri-County Mental Health Services. Certain eligibility requirements need to be met.

Employee Assistance Program

This benefit is available to all employees and members in their immediate household. The agency pays for up to 3 sessions for anyone eligible to receive this benefit. If more than 3 sessions are needed, the additional service will be paid by the individual receiving the service or the individual’s health insurance plan.

Professional Liability

Professional liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 is provided by the agency.
