Orientation is held monthly for new hires. Orientation takes place in the Sagadahoc Room 251, 1155 Lisbon St. and is organized and managed by Jessica Lachance.

Winter Weather Cancelation Procedures

During the winter months, we often experience dangerous travel conditions due to inclement weather. Although it is rare that we cancel or delay orientation, it may be deemed necessary for the sake of those attending.

If there is a question as to whether or not orientation will be held or cancelled due to weather, attendees and presenters are instructed to:

  • Call the direct line to the Sagadahoc (aka “training” room) 207-344-1939
  • An outgoing message will be left on this extension by 6 a.m. the same day if orientation is cancelled/delayed.
  • If there are dangerous travel conditions forecasted, it is recommended that you check after 6 pm the evening before, and again after 6 am the morning of.
  • You may also tune to Channel 6 for all Agency cancellation/delayed opening/early closure announcements.

In the event that an Orientation day IS CANCELLED, please plan to attend the next day as scheduled and you will be instructed on how the cancelled day will be made up.

If there are no official delays or cancellations, but you cannot make it in, please be sure to notify the HR Admin (*1307) AND your direct supervisor.
